What this effect does and browser limits

This is an aspect-ratio backdrop effect, not subject segmentation, face anonymization or privacy redaction. The foreground remains sharp, including its original background. A 100% foreground on a matching aspect ratio covers the backdrop; reduce foreground size to reveal it.

The canvas supports even dimensions from 64 to 2560 pixels and up to 4 megapixels. Extremely narrow or wide sources may need cropping first. Blur is automatically limited for small canvases. Output uses H.264 and the first audio track encoded to AAC unless removed. Descriptive tags, chapters and other tracks are omitted.

Use up to 10 files of 512 MiB each. HDR, encrypted, corrupt and unsupported inputs are rejected. Processing happens on this device with the open-source FFmpeg engine; originals are not uploaded. Keep the page open, and use smaller canvases for slower devices.
