CLIPKIT / VIDEO COMPRESSOR
Smaller videos.
Keep what matters.
Control the quality, size and sound. Compress on your device, compare the result, and share a lighter video.
Your videos
Start with your original
Choose a video to see its dimensions and a preview. Your original file stays unchanged.
Choose videos to get started. Processing starts only when you request an export.

Choose your trade-off
Balanced is a good starting point. For an upload limit, use target size. Lowering resolution helps most when you need a much smaller file.
Your video stays here
Video processing runs in a local worker. Video bytes are not uploaded. Original descriptive metadata and chapters are removed from exports.
Check before sharing
Compare picture and audio in the two players. Already-compressed videos can get larger. Outputs preserve the first video and optional first audio track; extra tracks and subtitles are omitted.
Formats, large files and browser requirements
The engine can read many MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI files, but not every codec or damaged file. Export is MP4/H.264 or WebM/VP8. DRM-protected files are unsupported. HDR video is not tone-mapped; use an SDR source to avoid color changes.
The engine downloads about 31 MiB on first use. A modern browser with WebAssembly and module workers is required. Large, long or high-resolution files can exhaust mobile memory even below the 512 MiB limit. Keep this page open while processing. No fixed processing speed is promised.
Encoding is lossy. Keep your original. Target size uses a bitrate budget with container headroom, so actual size can differ. For exact limits, inspect the result or choose a slightly smaller target.
