A soundtrack worth keeping
Choose your files. Each soundtrack is converted separately, one file at a time.
Choose files to get started.
Match the recording
Variable bitrate adjusts to the sound. Constant bitrate gives a more predictable size. Mono is useful for voice recordings; stereo keeps two-channel music.
Keep just the part you need
Set an optional audio range, soften the edges with fades, or select another audio track. Listen to each MP3 before sharing it.
Your files stay here
Processing happens on your device. Original descriptive tags, artwork, video tracks and chapters are omitted from the MP3.
Formats, silent videos and browser limits
The engine reads many MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and audio files, but not every codec, corrupt file or encrypted source. A video with no audio track cannot produce an MP3. An audio track containing silence remains silent; this tool does not invent sound.
WebAssembly and module workers are required. The shared engine downloads about 31 MiB on first use. Large or long files can exceed browser memory even below 512 MiB. Keep this page open during conversion. Automatic channel selection keeps mono or downmixes to stereo; automatic sample rate keeps 44.1/48 kHz or uses 44.1 kHz for other sources.
MP3 is lossy. Encoder delay and padding can make reported duration slightly different from the selection. Fades must fit inside the selected audio. At 22.05 kHz, choose a bitrate of 128 kbps or below.
