How does the blur work?
A real AI model (ONNX Runtime person segmentation) detects the person in your photo and separates them from the background. The background is then blurred while the person stays sharp — all inside your browser.
Why does the first run take so long?
The AI model (~tens of MB) downloads the first time you use the tool. After that it's cached and much faster. Give it a minute on a slow connection.
What photos work best?
Photos with one clearly visible person, decent lighting, and some separation from the background. Crowds, pets, glass, and very busy backgrounds can confuse the model — results vary.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The model runs entirely in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
Can I change the blur strength?
Yes — use the slider before hitting "Blur background". If you want a different strength afterward, just run it again.
