Frequently asked questions
How accurate are the timers?
Both timers are driven by your device's high-resolution clock, not by counting screen updates, so they stay accurate even if the tab is briefly in the background. The display refreshes about 30 times per second.
What happens when the countdown reaches zero?
An alarm sound plays, the page flashes, and a browser notification appears (if you've allowed notifications). Press Reset or Start to run it again.
Can I copy my lap times?
Yes — the "Copy laps" button appears once you record laps, copying a clean text list you can paste anywhere.
Will the alarm work if the tab is in the background?
The alarm is scheduled from the same high-resolution clock, so it fires on time. Keep the tab open (background is fine) — closing it stops the timer.
Is there a maximum countdown length?
You can set up to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds — plenty for cooking, workouts, exams and long tasks.
