Helpful tip: Pixel resizing changes the image dimensions, not necessarily the file size. Social presets fill an exact frame; choose white padding instead of center crop to keep the whole picture. Everything is processed locally.

Frequently asked questions

Simple answers about resizing your images.

Will resizing reduce image quality?

Reducing dimensions removes some pixel detail. This tool uses high-quality canvas smoothing to help photos look good at their new size. Enlarging beyond the original size cannot add missing detail, and JPG/WebP quality settings may also affect appearance.

What happens when I lock or unlock the aspect ratio?

With the ratio locked, each image keeps its original proportions. The width and height boxes are linked using the first image as the reference; for a batch with mixed aspect ratios, every image is resized proportionally using the dimension you last edited. Unlocking makes every image match both entered dimensions exactly, which can stretch it.

Do social media presets crop my pictures?

By default, yes: a center crop fills the exact preset size without distortion. Select “Fit entire image (white padding)” if you prefer to show everything, with white space added when the shapes do not match.

How many files can I resize at once?

You can select or drop up to 20 JPG, PNG, or WebP images in one batch. You can download files one at a time or put all successfully resized results in a single ZIP.

Are my photos uploaded or saved on a server?

No. Files never leave your device. This page reads images using your browser and resizes them with the Canvas API; the only optional external download is the public JSZip library code used to create a ZIP locally.

Does changing the format or quality affect transparency?

PNG and most WebP images can retain transparent pixels. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are placed on white. The quality slider affects JPG/WebP encoding only; PNG uses lossless encoding.
