Frequently asked questions
What is keyword density?
How often a keyword appears relative to the total word count, expressed as a percentage. If "logo design" appears 10 times in a 500-word article, its density is 2%.
What density should I aim for?
There is no official target — Google has never published one. As a rule of thumb, 1–2% for your main keyword reads naturally; anything consistently above ~3% risks looking like keyword stuffing to both readers and search engines.
Why are common words like "the" missing?
The tool filters out stopwords (the, and, of, to…) and very short words, since they carry no SEO meaning. Only meaningful keywords are counted.
Can I analyze a live web page by URL?
Not with this tool — browsers block fetching arbitrary pages, and scraping someone else's page raises other issues. Copy the page text and paste it here instead; the analysis is identical.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Analysis runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
