Frequently asked questions
Which meta tags actually matter for SEO?
The title tag and meta description matter most — they control how your page appears in search results and directly affect click-through rate. The robots tag controls indexing. The keywords tag is largely ignored by Google today but is harmless to include.
How long should my title be?
Google truncates titles by pixel width (about 600px), which works out to roughly 50–60 characters. Our counter warns you past 60. Keep your main keyword near the beginning so it survives truncation.
How long should my meta description be?
Around 150–160 characters (about 920px on desktop). Longer descriptions get cut off with an ellipsis. Write it like ad copy: what the page offers and why someone should click.
What does the canonical tag do?
It tells search engines which URL is the "master" version of a page when similar content exists at multiple URLs — preventing duplicate-content problems.
Is any of my input uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is generated locally in your browser. Nothing you type ever leaves your device.
