Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the three modes?
Space joins lines with a single space — best for prose. Nothing deletes breaks entirely, gluing lines together — useful for codes or IDs split across lines. Custom replaces each break with whatever you type, like a comma or a pipe character.
Will it also remove empty lines?
With "Space" mode, consecutive breaks collapse into a single space, so blank lines disappear naturally. If you want to keep paragraph structure while removing single breaks, that's a different job — but for most pasted text, one clean line is what you want.
Does it handle Windows (CRLF) line breaks?
Yes. Windows (\r\n), Mac (\r), and Unix (\n) line breaks are all detected and removed the same way.
Can I turn lines into a comma-separated list?
Exactly — choose "Custom", type a comma, and each line break becomes one. "apple\nbanana\ncherry" becomes "apple,banana,cherry".
