Frequently asked questions
What counts as a duplicate?
Any line that is exactly identical to a line above it. With case-sensitive matching on (the default), "Apple" and "apple" are treated as different lines.
Does it keep the original order?
Yes. The first occurrence of each line stays in place; only the repeats are removed. Nothing is sorted or shuffled.
What about leading or trailing spaces?
Lines are compared exactly as typed, including spaces — so "apple" and "apple " (with a trailing space) count as different lines. Trim your list first if stray spaces are a problem.
Are empty lines removed?
Empty lines are treated like any other line: the first blank line is kept, repeats are removed. If your list has lots of blank lines you want gone, remove them first with a blank-line remover.
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser with JavaScript. Your list never leaves your device.
